Xinjiang's Turpan City has seen a good harvest of mulberries that are
already for sale in the market in mid May 2006. Native Uygur girls
dressed in folk costumes sell fresh mulberries in the Grape Valley Scenic
Spot, attracting a number of tourists. It is learnt that residing in the
Grape Valley, these teenagers pick mulberries and sell them to visitors
after school and in weekends to earn money to pay for their tuition fees.
