MILAN, June 20 - AS Roma midfielder David Pizarro is now fully owned by
the Serie A side after they came to an agreement with Inter Milan, who
had previously held half his registration.

Roma said in a statement on Wednesday that the deal was worth 5.75
million euros ($7.72 million).

The Chilean was instrumental in helping Roma finish second behind
champions Inter in Serie A last season. He spent the 2005/06 campaign
with Inter having previously been at Udinese.

Italian media speculated that the deal could have paved the way for
Roma's Romanian defender Cristian Chivu to go to Inter.

However, Roma later issued a statement saying they were not in talks to
sell their main defender and that the discussions with Inter were only
connected with the Pizarro deal.
