The mysterious Tibet at the altitude of 3,650 meters above the sea level
are becoming the focus of the whole world. Crowds of people swarm into
the holy city Lhasa to experience exotic flavor. The Capital City Beijing
with the world famous Great Wall, the ancient city Xian with the
magnificent Terra-Cotta Warriors and Horses Museum, the attractive
picturesque Guilin and the shopping paradise are all covered in this
18-day tour.
Day by Day Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Beijing
Our guide will pick you up at Beijing airport and transfer to the hotel.
The rest of the day is on your own to explore the city.

Day 02: Beijing
Visit the Tian'anmen Square, the Forbidden City and the Temple of Heaven.
The Beijing Duck Dinner is served at the original, century-old Quan Ju De
restaurant followed by a lively Peking Opera performance at the Liyuan
Theatre. (B+L+D)

Day 03: Beijing
Visit the Badaling Great Wall. To avoid having lunch at shopping site
restaurants, you will be driven to have Sichuan food at a local popular
restaurant. Visit the Ming Tomb and the Summer Palace in the afternoon.

Day 04: Beijing - Tsetang
Take a morning flight to Tsetang where the altitude is 3,400 meters above
sea level. Check in at the hotel and acclimatize yourself to the high
altitude in the afternoon. Dinner is served at your hotel. (B+D)

Day 05: Tsetang
Transfer to the bank of Yarlung Tsangpo River. Then take ferry to visit
the Samye Monastery. In the afternoon, visit the Tomb of Tibet Kings and
the Yumbu Lakang. Dinner is served at your hotel. (B+L+D)

Day 06: Tsetang - Gyangtse
Transfer to Gyangtse and visit the Yamdrok Yumtso Lake and the Karola
snow mountain on the way. Check in at the hotel. Dinner is served at your
hotel. (B+L+D)

Day 07: Gyangtse - Shigatse
Visit the Palkhor Monastery and the Gyangtse Old Street. Transfer to
Shigatse and check in at the hotel. Dinner is served at your hotel.

Day 08: Shigatse - Lhasa
Visit the Tashilhunpo Monastery and the New Palace of Panchen. Transfer
to Lhasa and check in at the hotel. The a la carte dinner will be
arranged for you at a local best Sichuan cuisine restaurant. (B+L+D)

Day 09: Lhasa
Visit the magnificent Potala Palace. After a western-style lunch, visit
the Sera Monastery, the Norbulingka Park and a Tibetan family. Dinner is
served at your hotel. (B+L+D)

Day 10: Lhasa
Visit the Jokhang Temple and the thriving bazaar of the Barkhor Street.
After having a western-style lunch, go ahead to visit the Tibet Museum,
the Tibetan Traditional Medicine Hospital and the Carpet Factory. Dinner
is served at your hotel. (B+L+D)

Day 11: Lhasa - Xian
Take a flight to Xian. Visit the City Wall and transfer to the hotel in
the city. (B+L)

Day 12: Xian
Visit the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum. To avoid having the poor
food at the site, you will take highway back to downtown to have lunch at
a well-known Cantonese cuisine restaurant. In the afternoon, visit the
Big Wild Goose Pagoda. After you enjoy the local speciality, the Dumpling
Banquet, you will be entertained with the marvelous Tang Dynasty Music
and Dance Show. (B+L+D)

Day 13: Xian
Visit the Provincial History Museum. The a la carte Cantonese Cuisine
lunch is served at a local famous restaurant. Visit the Great Mosque
and have some free time to explore for some souvenirs or antiques in the
Bazaar near the Mosque. (B+L)

Day 14: Xian - Guilin
Take a flight to Guilin and transfer to the hotel. Visit the Reed Flute
Cave, the Seven Star Park and the Elephant Trunk Hill. Enjoy Ethnic Songs
and Dances at Lijiang Theatre after dinner. (B+L+D)

Li River cruise tour, Guilin

Day 15: Guilin - Yangshuo
Enduring memories are created today as you cruise down the Li River to
Yangshuo. Transfer to the hotel. A short bicycle trip to the countryside
will then be arranged. You will visit a local villager's home to
experience the farmer's lifestyle there. Alternatively, you can take our
electric car instead of taking bicycles. (Tips: Since the lunch on the Li
River cruise can not meet your expectation, TCG suggests that you have
enough breakfast at the hotel today.) (B+L)

Day 16: Yangshuo - Guilin - Hongkong
Morning is free. Transfer to Guilin airport. Take an afternoon flight to
Hongkong and transfer to the hotel. (B+L)

Day 17: Hongkong
In the morning, have a half-day Hongkong Island Tour. Peak tram ride to
mid-level of Central District then to the Victoria Peak, visit the
Repulse Bay, Aberdeen, Stanley Market. After lunch, transfer to Pier for
taking Star Ferry to Kowloon side, walk along the waterfront promenade
back to Hotel. Afternoon is free. (B+L)

Day 18: Departure from Hongkong
