Tibetan tourism "Master Plan"

On March 3, China announced that its first 15-year "Master Plan of
Tourism Development in the Tibetan Autonomous Region" has already entered
final checking and reviewing stages. This plan includes all arrangements
for the development of Tibet's tourism industry between 2005 and 2020. It
pertains to Lhasa city and Xigaze, Shannan, Ali, Nagqu, Nyingchi and
Qamdo regions that cover a total area of more than 1.2 million square
meters.
