HSBC earned 92.2b HKD last year

HSBC Holdings published its 2004 final results on Monday. S.K.Green,
Group Chief Executive, and D.G.Eldon, non-executive Director of Swire
Pacific Limited, attended the press conference. HSBC Holdings earned 92.2
billion HKD last year, while HSBC HK earned 33.5 billion HKD last year,
an increase of 30% over 2003. HSBC predicted that the growth of Hong
Kong's local economy would slow this year, mainly impacted by the US
economy and macro-control of mainland China.
